Building a Python environment in Makbook

Building a Python environment in Makbook

A customer in Anegasaki, Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture, asked us to build a Python environment.

Since building a Python environment is quite difficult the first time, I worked with them remotely.

Recent Makbooks default to zsh shell

Since the default shell on new PCs these days is zsh instead of bash, it is a situation that takes a long time to solve because there are only a few relevant articles in the search. It is very difficult to solve the problem unless you search for English articles as well.

Once you get hooked from this, you may not be able to get out ^^;.

Start of environment construction

I explained the procedure and built the environment.

It was a bit of a struggle, but we were able to successfully build the environment, and now we can use Python.

I explained the procedure as I went along, but building the environment was still difficult.

Why is it difficult to build a Python environment?

One reason for the difficulty is that we only work on each PC once, and it is difficult to know what we are doing now because we are tweaking settings that we do not normally touch. There are so many things that are invisible to the eye that it is sometimes difficult to grasp the current situation from the middle of the process. (It’s like this once you get used to it.)

After the project was over, I provided additional explanations, and he seemed to be satisfied with the results.

Thank you very much for choosing my company.
