There is a website called “fast” that allows you to measure the speed of your Internet connection for free.

We asked the customer to measure the current status on this site.

After taking several measurements, we found that the speeds ranged from 6.5Mbps to 670Kbps, which was quite unstable and slow.

Since Nuro Hikari should be able to provide more than 100 Mbps, we decided to visit the site and investigate the cause of the problem.

Wi-fi Diagnostics

We arrived at the customer’s home and immediately performed a wi-fi diagnosis.

We checked the Wi-fi speed of the router and found that it was producing over 100 Mbps, indicating that there was no problem.

Next, we checked the settings of the customer’s phone and found that it was connected to a signal in the 2.4GHz frequency band.

This seemed to be the cause of the slow connection speed.

The 2.4 GHz frequency is easily affected by household appliances (especially microwave ovens) and airplane radios, which can cause problems with radio interference, resulting in unstable or slow Internet speeds.

For this reason, we have changed the settings to always connect to 5.0 GHz.

We connected to Wi-fi in the 5.0GHz frequency band and measured the network line speed again with FAST, and found that it was over 100Mbps without any problem, and we were able to solve the problem.
